Free Online resources for FCE and CAE

Preparing for an exam is never easy – finding time is a major problem but so is finding the money for practice materials.  Luckily, there are plenty of free resources available on the internet to help you improve your skills and help pass the exams.

http://www.flo-joe.co.uk/ – probably the best website for the Cambridge exams.  Lots of practice exercises which are all updated for the 2015 exam.

http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/exams/first/how-to-prepare/ – Tips and practice materials from Cambridge for the First exam.  Limited number of resources but useful.  Unfortunately, they don’t seem to provide the same for the Advanced exam.

http://www.britishcouncil.hr/en/exam/cambridge/prepare – A great site from the British Council in Croatia.  It has links to apps and exam practice.  There is also a useful section on what to expect on the day of the exam – helps you to cope with nerves on the day!

http://www.esl-lounge.com/student/first-certificate.php – Plenty of practice and links to apps to download too.
