English Language Teacher

Heather was brought up on the Isle of Lewis in the northwest of Scotland. After school she moved to Glasgow to study for her M.A (Hons) in German and Celtic Civilisation. As part of her degree she spent nine months working as a language assistant in a secondary school in Germany where she got her first taste of English language teaching. After finishing her degree she completed the Trinity CertTESOL in Edinburgh. She then spent some time working in a customer service role dealing with German customers for Hilton Hotels.

Following that, she spent ten months teaching English in a University in Guangdong in the south of China. She loved her time there and spent her holidays exploring some of the many different places the country has to offer.

She includes reading, cooking and learning foreign languages among her hobbies. She especially enjoys going to gigs and music festivals.
