Welcome to “The Greatest Show on Earth“ !

Today is the beginning of the biggest sports tournament finals on the planet with the opening game of the FIFA World Cup.  The event takes place once every four years and this time round it is the turn of five –time winners Brazil to  host it. The action will take place in 12 stadiums across the country and will run for just over a month.

Unfortunately , Scotland  (as usual) and Ireland (less usually)  have failed to qualify for the tournament and even more unfortunately, Scotland’s “old enemy”, England will be there.  Don’t despair if your team hasn’t qualified for the tournament however as Live Language will be putting on a number of social events to mark the occasion which should be fantastic fun.

Below you can find the games, times and locations of the games that the Live Language social program will be attending.

Moday 16^th June, 5pm :  Germany V Portugal   (Room 2 @ Somerset building)

Wednesday 18^th June, 8pm: Spain V Chile  (Campus bar on Sauciehall Street. Meet @ livelang  7pm)

Tuesday 24^th June,  5pm : England V Costa Rica  (Room 2 @ Somerset building)

Sunday 13^th July , 8pm:  WORLD CUP FINAL (Campus bar on Sauciehall Street. Meet @ livelang  7pm)
